Kathleen Hagerty named provost

Kathleen Hagerty has been named Northwestern’s provost. Her appointment will become effective Sept. 1. Hagerty, who has been serving as interim provost since April 1, becomes the first woman provost since the University was founded in 1851.

New tool lays groundwork for autism early diagnosis and intervention

A novel approach enhanced by artificial intelligence has laid the groundwork for what could be the first biomedical screening and intervention tool for a subtype of autism, according to a new study in part by Northwestern. The approach is believed to be the first of its kind in precision medicine.
