A vigorous examination of ‘Mr. NAACP,’ who passed as White

From Kevin Boyle, The Washington Post

"When Walter White joined the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s New York staff in 1918, he had a thin record of civil rights activism. But he quickly made himself into the association’s indispensable man, particularly skilled at communicating the terror of racial violence to White audiences. It was a talent built partly on his limitless courage, partly on his incessant charm and partly on a family inheritance that set him apart from most of Black America," Kevin Boyle writes in The Washington Post.

Cancelling Russians is Putinist

From Andrew Koppelman, The Hill

"Putin is deeply invested in the narrative that Western democracies are implacably opposed to all things Russian. Don’t help him with that. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine must be thwarted. But let’s not forget what we are fighting for," Andrew Koppelman writes in The Hill.

The best way for China to make its economy sanctions-proof

From Nancy Qian, Bloomberg

"True self-sufficiency is impossible. Rather than putting up more walls, Beijing should be looking to integrate itself even more deeply into global supply chains," Nancy Qian writes in Bloomberg.
