  • Kellogg's Loran Nordgren discusses factors that can prevent innovation ­– placing too much emphasis on aspects that move a business forward, rather than correcting what holds them back. Nordgren was cited in 112 stories, primarily through broadcasts of NPR’s Hidden Brain, for a reach of 3.6 million.

  • Alumna and "Today" show anchor Sheinelle Jones is inducted into Medill's Hall of Achievement. The honor was cited in 111 stories, primarily "Today" show broadcasts, for a reach of 1.8 million.

  • Weinberg's Christopher Berry is part of a team of researchers studying 35 detections of gravitational waves during a five-month period – the largest collection of waves detected to date. Berry was cited in 38 stories for a reach of .8 million. Top outlets include CNN.

Why home buyers should comparison shop for mortgage rates but don’t

When buying a car, for instance, consumers know that pricing and incentives can vary from market to market, dealer to dealer. Shopping for a better rate is ingrained in how we buy cars, but we tend to view mortgages in a different way,” Scott Baker writes in The Wall Street Journal.
