Grace Rumford
MSES Career Coach; Senior Director, Origination at NextEra Energy
Grace Rumford is a career coach for Northwestern's Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability (MSES) Program.
She is is Senior Director of Origination at NextEra Energy, the world's largest generator of renewable energy. With over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, she has a proven track record of developing and executing innovative renewable energy strategies to help companies transition from fossil fuels to clean power. In her current role, Grace focuses specifically on negotiating large contracts with corporate customers to offtake renewable energy from NextEra's extensive project portfolio.
Prior to joining NextEra Energy, Grace worked for BP in Chicago and London, where she helped shape the oil major's low carbon strategy as well as deliver a subsequent corporate restructure.
Grace is passionate about advancing an equitable clean energy transition at scale. She has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Middlebury College
