When Mee-Ow performed its show Mee-Ow Is Dating a Monster! in January, an unexpected guest dropped in for one of the sketch and improv comedy group’s late-night performances. Comedian and Curb Your Enthusiasm star Jeff Garlin took in the show and then spent some time chatting with the cast and crew. He then invited Mee-Ow to perform at the Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival in Michigan, where Mee-Ow opened for its host’s own act, Jeff Garlin’s Hootenanny with Aubrey Plaza and Brett Gelman. School of Communication sophomore and Mee-Ow member Sam Fishell said he and his fellow cast members were humbled to perform with Garlin. “He’s a legend, so we were super-flattered,” Fishell said in an interview with UpNorth TV in Traverse City.
