A Week with the Real Wildcats |
---|
| | | As the volunteers pull fencing into place, lions and tigers check over their work. Often the refuge places tigers and lions together in cages if they were raised together. Many of the animals were raised in abusive circumstances. Many of Turpentine Creek's big cats come from private residences, where people treated the animals as house pets, sometimes keeping the cats inside and feeding them dog food. | Courtesy of Turpentine Creek trip participants | | | | |
