More than 750 dancers, a Dance Marathon record, helped the Northwestern philanthropy reach an all-time fundraising high of $933,855 (including product donations) for the Chicago-based Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the Evanston Community Foundation at the 34th annual event. Bear Necessities will use the Dance Marathon funds to support additional research grants and programming for cancer patients and their families, and the Evanston Community Foundation will fund grants for community organizations with its share of the proceeds. |
