Nora B. Brandenburg of Northwestern’s department of otolaryngology worked first as an instructor of otolaryntology from 1942 to 1945. She then worked as an associate within the department from 1945 to 1948. That same year she was promoted to assistant professor and served in that role until 1951. During her time teaching at the university, Professor Brandenburg published work on the musculature of the pharyngoesophageal segment.
