Jane Kaltenbach, PhD

Jane Kaltenbach served as an assistant professor of biological sciences at Northwestern from 1956-1958. She completed her BS in biology at Beloitt College in 1944, her MA in zoology at the University of Wisconsin in 1946 and her PhD in zoology at the State University of Iowa in 1950. Dr. Kaltenbach’s research interests included hormone effects on and changes in proteins during embryonic development. She served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Wenner-Grens Institute for Experimental Biology at the University of Stockholm in Sweden before beginning her career at Northwestern.
