Carolyn Thomas (1928-1997) was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1928. She received her BS at the University of Toledo before earning her master’s and PhD from Northwestern in 1951 and 1953. She worked at Northwestern from 1952-1988 as an instructor, then professor, and finally department assistant in anatomy. Some of her publications include, as listed on the adjacent C.V.: The muscular architecture of the atria of the hog; the muscular architecture of the atria of hog and dog hearts.
