Annie Peeler
Annie Peeler began her career at Northwestern as a graduate student. Ms. Peeler earned a master’s degree in Medical Technology at Northwestern in 1946 after completing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Duke University in 1943.
Later, Ms. Peeler became an instructor of pathology and a technical supervisor of courses in medical technology in 1953 before becoming an assistant professor of pathology in 1962. That same year, Annie Peeler was named the “Medical Technologist of the Year” and she was elected President of the American Society of Medical Technologists. Ms. Peeler was also listed in “Leaders of American Science” published by Who’s Who in American Education in 1960.
