Toni-Marie Montgomery became the first Black Dean and the first woman dean at Northwestern University in 2003. She served as the top leader and professor at the Bienen School of Music for two decades. The chamber music pianist has performed throughout the United States and beyond and is a founding member of the Black Music Repertory Ensemble at Columbia College of Chicago.
