On March 15, 2024, Northwestern’s graduate student union (NUGW-UE Local 1122) informed Northwestern University that a majority of its voting members voted to ratify their first collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the University.
This CBA between Northwestern and NUGW-UE covers graduate students in most schools when they are providing research or instructional services for the University. The contract is effective March 15, 2024 through March 31, 2027, subject to further renewal.
