STEM Shadow Days
Our office coordinates several STEM Shadow Days throughout the school year. Through this program, Evanston Township High School (ETHS) students are connected with Northwestern graduate students in science and engineering labs to shadow for the day. The goal is to provide students with the opportunity to experience the wide variety of research fields in STEM that cross disciplines and interest areas. In addition, ETHS students engage and interact with a diverse group of Northwestern graduate students in a relaxed environment. For Northwestern graduate students, this program provides a simple low-commitment outreach opportunity. For Northwestern laboratories, STEM Shadow Days provide an opportunity to expose students to fields beyond what they might learn about in school, sparking an interest in their career fields.
