Teacher Professional Development

nasa_01.jpg
The STEAM Professional Development Workshop is a teacher workshop that focuses on capacity to integrating arts and design into STEM education. The annual workshop is co-led by former Evanston Township High School (ETHS) math teacher, Sachin Jhunjhunwala, and Northwestern University’s MaDE program director, David Gatchell.

The workshop is part of a larger STEAM + Design Thinking initiative, a joint collaboration between the Office of Community Education Partnerships (OCEP) and Segal Design Institute. The STEAM + Design Thinking programming includes the annual STEAM Summit, summer professional development workshops as part of iSTAR@NU and custom workshops for school districts. Our office supports the workshop by providing expertise and examples from ETHS programming, as well as leveraging ETHS teachers to co-facilitate with Northwestern Professors.
