NSBEjr - National Society of Black Engineers
Evanston Township High School (ETHS) has junior chapters of three professional engineering societies that promote and support diversity in engineering career pathways. These junior chapters receive support and collaboration from the Northwestern student chapters. The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) provide coaching and mentorship support for the ETHS team that competes in the SHPE competitions. Additional partnerships exist between the National Society for Black Engineers (NBSE) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) where ETHS students are able to attend events hosted at Northwestern, such as SWE’s annual Career Day for Girls.
