Northwestern Academy addresses the achievement gap existing between minority and non-minority students in the Evanston schools by providing supplemental educational opportunities and support for students who are underrepresented in the advanced mathematics and science courses at ETHS. The Academy begins with students entering the program in their freshman year at ETHS. A dedicated Northwestern staff advisor meets regularly with Academy students to mentor and coach them for success in high school and post-secondary education plans.
