Feinberg Anatomy Lab Day

feinberg.jpg

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Anatomy Lab Day provides Evanston Township High School (ETHS) anatomy and health science students the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops with Ph.D. candidates and Feinberg medical students. In this annual event, participants observe and engage in research and clinical medical career opportunities. ETHS students interact with Northwestern graduate students and faculty as they visit Feinberg’s anatomy lab hosted by Dr. Larry Cochard. Students also participate in the annual BioMechanics Day hosted by the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.

Our Partnership Office facilitates this event connecting the students with resources and departments at Feinberg School of Medicine that have an interest in helping students gain awareness of a variety of careers in healthcare. Additionally, we partner with Melissa Simon’s Center for Health Equity Transformation for conversation, access to the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Career 911: Your Future Career in Medicine, and Skinny Trees podcast on health inequity in Chicago.
