Connection to CTD

I helped start a civic leadership program for middle and high schoolers called the Civic Education Project that was adopted and developed by CTD starting around 1998-99. CTD was so gracious and supportive in their willingness to expand the Center's work to emphasize development of social responsibility, empathy, public service, and leadership skills among gifted youth. These efforts ultimately included expanded partnerships with the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, among others. It was a terrific and forward-looking collaboration, and certainly had a major positive impact on my own life and career.
