Workforce Initiative Expands Career Pathways for Evanston Residents

The Ryan Family Workforce Development Initiative (RFWDI) is a partnership between Northwestern University, the City of Evanston, and the Ryan Family designed to expand access to stable, living-wage careers for Evanston residents without requiring a four-year college degree. Supported by Northwestern’s Community Benefits Agreement and a $10 million gift from the Ryan Family, the initiative invests $500,000 annually in workforce training, upskilling, and career pathways.
