The Northwestern University Black Professionals Network is open to all who strive to build community through shared experiences to foster open dialogue, leadership and mentorship that will improve the NU black professional experience. All are welcome to participate.
Our BPN family came together for another unforgettable annual Potluck, an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, delicious dishes, and holiday cheer. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our collective achievements and the spirit of togetherness.
BPN Bookclub presents Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. A sweeping, fictional tale of two half-sisters born in 18th-century Ghana. Though separated at birth and raised in different villages, their lives unfold along starkly different paths: one sold into slavery, the other married to a British colonizer. Spanning over 300 years, this powerful novel traces the legacy of their descendants through the turbulent history of both Ghana and America. Book Club is scheduled to meet August 12th.
