Description: 

This program is academically and linguistically challenging, requiring a strong commitment from students with a solid foundation in Modern Standard Arabic. Native Arabic speakers teach elective classes taught in the target language to emphasize different linguistic skill sets, such as reading comprehension, while offering a variety of subject matter.

Admission Info:
To apply, Northwestern students must: 

  1. Complete an NU Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
  2. Complete a CIEE application by the program's deadline

Language Requirements: 

5 semesters (7 quarters) or the equivalent of college-level Modern Standard Arabic. (Note: The program requires a 3.3 GPA in Modern Standard Arabic.)
