The University of Chicago's Toledo Program is ideal for students who want to study Spanish intensively in a completely Spanish-speaking environment. Instruction in the Toledo Program is geared towards the intermediate level; students live with local families, receive daily Spanish language instruction by the staff of the Fundacion José Ortega y Gasset, and observe a no-English rule.

Spanish majors and minors must discuss their study abroad plans with a departmental adviser.
Admission Info:
To apply, Northwestern students must:
- Complete an NU Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
- Complete a University of Chicago application by the program's deadline
Languages: Spanish
Language Requirements:
1 year (completion of Spanish 101-3 or 115-2) or the equivalent of college-level Spanish.
