Description: 

Geneva is a dynamic cosmopolitan city located on the shores of the beautiful Lac Léman at the foot of the Alps in French-speaking Switzerland. Students enroll in French-taught courses at the Université de Genève with other Swiss and international students and have the option to enroll in French-taught courses at the Smith Center or complete a credit-bearing internship.

Requirements: 

  • Full Year students must take at least 1 “regular” University course taught in French for local university students during the Fall Quarter and 2 regular courses during the Winter/Spring Quarter.
  • Students staying for the Fall Quarter only or Winter/Spring Quarters only must take at least 1 “regular” course.
  • Read Internships and Service Learning for specific information about earning credit for internships.

Languages: French

Language Requirements: 

At least 2 years or the equivalent of college-level French

Housing: 

Self-catered apartment-style student residences with 3-6 other students.
