This program welcomes music students of all Italian language levels and offers a full range of opportunities for instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, and music performance majors through Music courses at the IES Abroad Center and at the Scuola Civica di Music, which includes Schools of Jazz, Choral, Classical, Contemporary, and Early Music. Music students typically take one to three Music courses each term, combining private lessons with Scuola Civica instructors with music composition, history and theory courses at IES Abroad.Terms:

Admission Info:
To apply, Northwestern students must:
- Complete an NU Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
- Complete an IES Abroad application by the program's deadline
Languages: Italian, English
Language Requirements:
None; however, students will be required to take one Italian-language course or one course taught in Italian on the program.Housing:
Students choose from the following housing options:
- Student apartments with 2-6 other IES students
- Collegio di Milano, a residence hall for Italian and international honors students (additional cost)
- Limited number of homestays in Milanese homes throughout the city
