The CIEE Study Center at Nanjing University focuses on helping students develop Mandarin Chinese communication skills and explore contemporary Chinese society and culture. The program offers an integrated curriculum that links language classes, a Chinese studies course taught in English, and field trips in and around Nanjing.

Admission Info:

To apply, Northwestern students must:

  1. Complete an NU Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
  2. Complete a CIEE application by the program's deadline

Languages: Chinese, English

Language Requirements: 

1-3 years or the equivalent of college-level Mandarin


Homestays (2 meals/day) or double rooms (self-catered) in an international student dormitory with a Chinese roommate
