Northwestern Education Abroad Offices
The following offices administer undergraduate study abroad programs at Northwestern:
- The Study Abroad Office offers Northwestern-sponsored and affiliated programs to provide diverse educational opportunities that shape how students think about themselves, their communities, and the world.
- Buffett Center for International and Comparative Studies offers programs in Prague and Istanbul with courses that prepare students for future leadership roles and develop their global competencies.
- Center for Global Engagement (CGE) equips students with the knowledge, tools and experience needed to confront global challenges. Its Global Engagement Studies Institute takes students to the developing world to work with nongovernmental and grassroots organizations to advance sustainable, community-driven change.
- Office of International Program Development (IPD) designs research and study abroad programs that allow students to enroll in premier institutions around the world and manages all exchange programs. Its interdisciplinary programs based on themes that include global health, culture and identity, political economy, and science and engineering are apt for students seeking career-relevant experiences who might not otherwise study overseas.
