NU Shuttles
Riding public transportation reduces carbon emissions in the atmosphere. University Services provides a number of Evanston and Chicago FREE shuttle routes when you show your WildCard ID.

Saferide

Northwestern currently uses Prius hybrids for the student SafeRide services. SafeRide exists to increase safety on campus as an alternative to walking alone after dark.

I-Go Car Sharing
I-Go Car Share parking spots have been added to campus to increase student, faculty, and staff usage. Membership fees to this car sharing account are discounted for the Northwestern Community. You can sign up for an I-GO/CTA card and access the city as if you had your own vehicle. I-GO car sharing reduces congestion on the road, increases health initiatives by encouraging walking or biking in the city, and the service is committed to fuel efficient vehicles that are have hybrid technology.

Ride Sharing
Northwestern University, in conjunction with PACE, offers a rideshare program for all full-time employees. Carpooling is an economical, convenient and environmentally friendly way to commute to work. This program was developed in partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation on the Chicago campus and the City of Evanston and Rotary International on the Evanston campus.

Car Pooling to Argonne Research Lab
The Northwestern-Argonne Carpool is a user-run service that travels daily between the Northwestern Evanston Campus and the Argonne National Lab Campus. Students, professors and researchers affiliated with Northwestern are encouraged to take advantage of this carpool, which is fully funded by the Northwestern University Office for Research.

CTA
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has a purple line train that gives Northwestern students access to all the beautiful sites of the city.
