Technician Fee:A Northwestern University A/V Technician must be present whenever Thorne Hall is in use. This would also include set-ups and rehearsals. The NU A/V Technician is the only person permitted to operate the A/V equipment in the auditorium. Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm - $55.34/hour* Mon-Fri, after 3pm & Sat-Sun all hours - $83.01/hour* *Charges are subject to change. CUFS account number must be provided at the time of reservation.
Custodial Services:Custodians are used for set-ups and for cleaning the auditorium. Their fee is $30/hour*. *Charges are subject to change. Weekend custodial services are billed at a 4 hour minimum. If the event requires an extra compactor pull, the charge can range from $250 - $300. Reservation Information:The auditorium must also be reserved for any set-ups or rehearsals. The event will be scheduled when all information has been sent to Facilities Management (fax: 3-4106). Forms The Reservation forms (available at the top of this page) should be faxed on the day of the request to (312) 503-4106. All forms must be sent to Facilities Management at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Equipment & Set up: The equipment in Thorne is available for usage at no extra charge during your event. However, any additional equipment or services requested will be provided by, and paid for by the organization using Thorne. All special arrangements should be discussed with the A/V Technician at least 2 weeks prior to your event. If set-up information is not received at least two weeks prior to event, that event may be cancelled without notice. Damage to Property: Any damages made to the property will be billed to the department using the Auditorium. Food and Beverages: Eating, drinking and/or smoking are not permitted in the auditorium. Food and beverages can be consumed in the areas directly outside of the Auditorium. All catering arrangements are the responsibility of the organization using the Auditorium. Security: If security for an event is required it must be coordinated through the Northwestern University Police Department. Only University Police or their approved contract security vendor is permitted to provide security coverage for Thorne Auditorium events.
