Lourdes received her B.S. in Developmental Psychology and B.A. in Latina/o Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, becoming the first one in her family to graduate from college. Whilst there, Lourdes became interested in higher education through her role as a Resident Advisor, where she provided support and guidance to students from a variety of backgrounds.
She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Higher Education Administration and Policy here at Northwestern. In the future, she hopes to be able to continue offering support to students of color in whatever work she pursues within the higher education field. During her free time, Lourdes likes to cook and try new recipes, explore Chicago with her friends, or expand her earring collection by shopping at small businesses.
