One of the oldest and most successful intensive Chinese language programs in the world, the full-year International Chinese Language Program (ICLP) at National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei offers rigorous language training for various professions. Through intensive coursework and independent preparation, students can achieve high levels of competency in both spoken and written Mandarin and develop skills needed for academic research or other professional use. Participants are provided with an NTU student ID and have access to all of NTU’s facilities and activities.

Admission Info:
To apply, Northwestern students must: 

  1. Complete a Northwestern Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
  2. Complete an ICLP application by the program's deadline

ICLP contracts with a private, off-campus apartment building that offers a limited number of rooms that are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
