Arli (Lul) is a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in the Higher Education program at Loyola University Chicago where she also works as a Graduate Research Assistant. Her research interests focus on the experiences of underrepresented populations, such as Somali ethnic minority groups, males of color within city colleges, students from refugee backgrounds as well as faculty women of color in Jesuit institutions. She completed her master’s degree in Administrative Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UW-Milwaukee where she gained most of her experience in higher education.

In her role as a Graduate Assistant with Student Organizations and Activities at NU, she assists with projects around student organization resources, the Source, and Wildcat Connection.
