Office of Community Standards
Office of Community Standards provides leadership in:- Resolving student conduct and conflict issues at Northwestern
- Supports the development of community, learning and integrity on campus and beyond
- Manages the University's formal disciplinary processes
- Manages the University Hearing and Appeals System (UHAS) & the Sexual Assault Hearing and Appeals System (SAHAS)
In addressing conduct and conflict matters, our Office collaborates with several other campus offices, most notably University Residential Life and the Dean of Students Office, but it is the Office of Community Standards that maintains all records documenting these incidents. We also provide education and resources regarding community principles, ethical decision-making, and the peaceful and productive resolution of disputes.
