Off Campus Life

An NU student enjoying some ice cream in downtown Evanston

The mission of the Off-Campus Life Office  is to serve as the first point of contact for students moving and living off-campus. Our office has one constituency group - Northwestern students. We have multiple stakeholders with whom we communicate, coordinate, and refer around issues regarding students' rights, responsibilities, and resources.

The Off-Campus Life Office assists students with navigating their way as a great Wildcat neighbor within the Evanston/Chicago-metro communities. It is a compilation of information about living off-campus and the resources available to students. Such as:

  • Living in Evanston/Chicago-metro: Being a good neighbor and other resources related to living off-campus
  • Housing: How to find housing, and maintain a safe, quality living environment
  • Getting Around: Learn about travel options to your destination
  • City Services: Find out about the services provided for residents
