AccessibleNU

AccessibleNU (formerly the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities) is committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment for all undergraduate, graduate, professional school, and professional studies students with disabilities or other conditions requiring accommodation who attend the University. Additionally, the University and AccessibleNU work to provide registered students with a learning and community environment that affords them full participation, equal access, and reasonable accommodation of their conditions. Here are some accommodations provided:
- Common academic and exam accommodations such as extra time on tests
- Course substitutions (also subject to department approval)
- Housing and meal plan considerations
- Considerations for temporary medical conditions
Reasonable accommodations are individualized and flexible based on the nature of the disability and the academic environment. They provide equal access, not an unfair advantage.
