Meet the Student Staff

The Dean of Students Office has a team of students who assist with office operations.

Chloe Hilles

Chloe is a first-year student studying journalism and political science. She grew up in Ventura, California therefore has never experienced an actual winter. Chloe is an avid reader, amateur baker, and a big fan of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She's looking forward to becoming more involved on campus, beginning with her work here at the Dean of Students Office.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Mazique

Jacqueline (Jackie) Mazique is a senior studying sociology. She is from Homewood, Illinois, which is about 2 hours south of Evanston. In terms of academics, her interests vary pretty widely, from social inequality to language to the entertainment industry. At the moment, she is working on a senior thesis that looks into how black and white girlhood are presented differently on the Disney Channel. Beyond academics, she spends a lot of time volunteering with Northwestern's Camp Kesem (an organization that supports kids through a parent's cancer). She also really enjoy listening to music, playing clarinet, reading, learning languages, and watching television.

Samantha (Sam) Reyes Villanueva

My name is Samantha Reyes Villanueva, who goes by Sam, is a senior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Global Health. She also is a student in the Accelerated Public Health Program at Northwestern.

Avery Zieper

Avery is a first year student from Denver, Colorado. She is studying chemistry with hopefully the addition of an economics double major. Avery's hope is to attend law school in the future to study patent law. She is a member of the Northwestern's club sailing team, a reporter for Northwestern News Network, as well as a delegate on the Model UN travel team. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends (she's definitely a people person!). Avery is extremely excited to begin work here at the Dean of Students Office and to learn about all of the behind the scenes work here at Northwestern!
