The World Wide Web in all of its multi-media, hyper-text glory is here! Billion-dollar companies are springing up to exploit its resources. Users are climbing all over us to get graphic access to the Web from their home computers. Our dial-up lines are saturated. Many users want in but can't get in. What do we do? MTSU examined providing SLIP/PPP service inhouse versus through an outside vendor. In this talk, we give an overview of available services and their costs and reveal the decision our campus made and why.
