Presentation Content:
The University of Maryland at College Park has had five years experience supporting faculty in the use of very high technology classrooms (Teaching Theaters). We now have added high-quality projection, sound, network access, and a variety of A/V devices to 50 lecture halls and new classrooms. This presentation will address matters of
- security: hey, who's got a key to this room?
- responsibility: who owns this space, anyway?
- maintenance: who fixes what when and how?
- faculty support: a "12 step program" for faculty technophobes
- classroom support: help! the computer's locked up!
- funding: yeah, but, who's got money for next year?
- evaluation: is this really better than the stone age (chalk on slate)?
