We are suspending all in-person workshops and sessions until further notice. Faculty may opt to participate in one of our online sessions around a variety of topics in learning and teaching that we will be facilitating throughout the spring quarter.
Faculty may also reach out to Susanna Calkins (s-calkins@northwestern.edu) for more specific guidance in their individual learning contexts.
We host numerous workshops, roundtables, and other sessions on a wide variety of topics related to learning and teaching.
To view and register for events described below, see our calendar. Although events are free, registration is required and space is limited.
Join us for a discussion and meet other university colleagues dedicated to high-quality teaching.
Faculty Workshops
These interactive workshops are designed to help Northwestern faculty think creatively about their teaching and make valuable changes in the classroom. Workshops are grounded in scholarly research on learning and teaching at all levels across the entire university and are led by the Searle Center Staff.
University Teaching Roundtables
Award-winning faculty (the recipients of the University Teaching Awards) lead interdisciplinary discussions on current topics in teaching and learning.
Brownbags
Members of the Searle Center staff facilitate or host these less formal discussions on timely topics in teaching and learning.
Please Note: Our building is not wheelchair accessible. If you need wheelchair access, please let us know, and we'll do our best to find an alternative location.
