Process for Developing a MOOC

Faculty members submit a proposal for development of a MOOC. The MOOC can be based on an existing on-site course. If selected, faculty will work closely with course designers to develop online content and online assessment methods. The detailed process includes:

1. RFP

2. Preliminary Proposal*

3. Committee Review*

4. Provost Approval

5. MOOC Development*

6. Final Approval

7. Launch

8. Assessment

* Faculty may choose to consult with the Coordinated Service Center during MOOC development. The CSC is made up of the following units: School of Continuing Studies, NUIT Teaching & Learning Technologies, Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching, Library Digital Services, and school-based.
