Food Services on Campus

Daily menus and hours of operation for Northwestern Dining facilities are located on the Northwestern dining website. Faculty and Staff can add Cat Cash to their WildCARD to pay for food on either campus. Faculty may also visit the Jerome B. Cohen Commons Faculty & Staff Dining Room (Cohen Commons) in the Tech Building. Menus, hours, and reservations are available online. In addition to these dining facilities, both the Evanston and Chicago campuses offer a variety of catering services ranging from coffee and bagels to five-course meals. Learn more

Fitness and Recreational Facilities

Several recreational facilities are available on the Evanston campus through NU Recreation. Faculty may access facilities by paying a daily fee or by purchasing a monthly or annual facility membership. Membership provides access to the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion, the Norris Aquatics Center, and all fitness classes. There is also a beach, the Sailing Center, and the Tennis Center with outdoor courts available on a walk-up basis for faculty during the summer months. Faculty on the Chicago Campus can receive a discounted membership to Fitness Formula Clubs and the Lake Shore Field House.

Athletic Tickets to Wildcat sporting events, including football and basketball, can be purchased through the ticket office at 888-GOPURPLE (888-467-8775) or online at www.NUsports.com. Faculty are eligible for a discount on season tickets for football and men’s basketball.

Facilities Management 

Facilities Management is responsible for campus planning, space management, the design, construction and renovation of University facilities, and for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems. Requests for service can be called in to (847) 491-5201 for the Evanston campus or (312) 503-8000 for the Chicago campus or emailed to Facilities Management

The Office of Sustainability

The Office of Sustainability facilitates many programs aimed at reducing our energy and resource use and reducing our waste through an active recycling and composting program.  For information about recycling services for your computer and electronic equipment, please see the University Services’ eCycling program. Northwestern’s Travel Program

Northwestern provides faculty and staff access to three travel agencies as well as numerous contracts and negotiated rates related to business travel for airfare, hotels (local, national, and international), and rental cars. Visit the travel website to book travel and for information on other travel-related benefits. The Daily Northwestern 

The Daily Northwestern is published Monday -- Friday during the academic year. Classified advertising in The Daily Northwestern is an effective way to connect with students for part-time child care, work study help, research assistants or sublets. Learn more

PlanIt Purple 

PlanIt Purple is Northwestern University’s centralized online events listing. The University community is the listing's primary audience, but it is also viewable by the general public. University departments and offices can post their events and use the database of events to create their own public listing. Learn more

Monthly Calendar of Events

Every month, Neighborhood and Community Relations provides a catalogue of on-campus events and opportunities open to the public. These include special performances from world-renowned musicians, family-friendly events for children, Big 10 athletics, and lectures in the humanities and sciences. Learn more
