Chairs, Directors, and Other Faculty Leaders
These programs are designed for faculty with formal leadership experience, whether as a department chair, program director, division chief, or other leadership role in your school or unit. Participation in these programs is by invitation only. Academic Leadership Program (ALP)
An intensive year-long program to develop the leadership and managerial skills of faculty who have demonstrated exceptional ability and academic promise. Learn more.
Department Executive Officers (DEO) Program
This annual program brings together department heads and chairs for training and workshops on topics such as leadership styles, group decision-making, and staff management. Learn more.
Faculty Leadership Program (FLP)
A series of occasional sessions designed specifically for department chairs, program directors, center or institute directors, division chiefs, and other faculty leaders. The program provides critical information on University resources to help expand the knowledge and skills of those who lead academic units. Learn more.
New Chairs Mentoring Program
This peer mentoring program engages an experienced former department chair to serve as mentor for a small cohort of newer chairs as they navigate their new leadership roles. Learn More.
