Transition Programs Plus Council

Northwestern has expanded its recruitment and enrollment of low-SES, first generation college, and international students, to offer greater educational opportunities to a broader range of students. The Transition Programs Plus Council is a working group that was created in 2014 to develop a coordinated strategy to support the transition and ongoing success of these incoming first-year students.  This support ranges from academic enrichment, community building efforts, financial assistance, and simply having a “go-to” person for any question or topic that can impact a student’s higher education experience.
