Ice Cream Social

Northwestern University is hosting an 'ice cream social' for permanent residents and members of the off-campus community! Enjoy FREE ice cream sundaes while getting to know your neighbors a little better. Come chat with old friends and hopefully make new ones!

• Permanent residents and student residents living south of campus are welcome to join us on Friday, September 30th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Raymond Park. (Corner of Lake St.& Chicago Ave.) City Map

• Permanent residents and student residents living west and north of campus are welcome to join us on Sunday, October 2nd from 1:30-3:00 Fireman's Park. (Corner of Simpson St. & Maple Ave.) City Map

Block times for October 2 are:

1:30-2:00 p.m. Emerson Street, Garrett Place, Foster Street, 1900 block of Ridge, 1900 block of Maple, 1900 block of Sherman, 1900 block of Orrington

2:00-2:30 p.m. Pratt Court, Hamlin Street, Simpson Street, Library Place, 2000 block of Ridge, 2000 block of Maple, 2000 block of Sherman, 2000 block of Orrington

2:30-3:00 p.m. Gaffield Place, Haven Street, Noyes Street, 2100 block of Ridge, 2100 block of Maple, 2100 block of Sherman, 2100 block of Orrington

Please note that the above are only suggested times. We welcome any and all to attend the events listed. Just come out and meet your neighbors and enjoy a little ice cream!!

Evanston Evenings

 'Evanston Evenings' is a unique opportunity for Northwestern students and permanent Evanston residents to interact together in a comfortable setting with the intent of building relationships and strengthening our community as whole.

On October 6th, 2011, at 6pm, Evanston households will host 2-3 students each for dinner and an opportunity to meet fellow community members. All students who sign up will be paired with an Evanston household and will be contacted by their host with more personalized information closer to the event.

Free food. Great conversation. One community.
