                immediately following the World Premiere of the NU History Video. 
                Deans Bernard Dobroski and Barbara O'Keefe host a nostalgic evening 
                of music, poetry, elocution, and dance from the University's early 
                years. A potpourri of musical and theatrical treasures performed 
                by student ensembles, faculty members, and alumni soloists. The 
                evening also includes the premiere of a film documentary on Northwestern 
                history, rare images of early campus scenes, and a specially commissioned 
                fanfare by NU Alumna and Chicago Symphony Orchestra composer-in-residence 
                Augusta Read Thomas. Reserve seats by calling 847/467-4000. 9 and 10 PM Guided Tours of Dearborn Observatory 
                and refracting telescope by the Department 
                of Physics and Astronomy. A rare opportunity to see the observatory 
                in the fall. Space is limited to 20 people per tour. Arrive early.       |
