Molly Basdeo Mountjoy is currently the Assistant Director of New Student and Family Programs. She works with the Director of First-Year Experience/Associate Director of NSFP to plan Pre-Orientation Programs (POP) and supervise and train student leaders. POP consists of three experiences that incoming students have the option of participating in right before they launch into Wildcat Welcome, Northwestern's week-long orientation program.
Molly is an active member of the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education (NODA), where she currently serves as the co-chair of the Extended Orientation Network, the network that supports pre-orientation/extended orientation programs and their student and professional staff across the country.
Originally from Lexington, North Carolina, Molly earned a B.S. in Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies Education at North Carolina State University and then a Masters of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of South Carolina.
Molly is thrilled to work with student leaders that are passionate about Northwestern, welcoming new students to campus, and learning more about the Evanston/Chicago communities.
