The Norris University Center strives to provide spaces, services, and guidance to promote student learning, community engagement, and cultural inclusion. To that end, we want to ensure we are leading the charge to support our campus community now and into the future. We have worked to create unique virtual options that will allow us to stay true to our mission and support our clients distinct programming needs, in person, remotely, and any combination of the two. 

Virtual Meeting

Supported through Zoom Meeting

Norris Virtual Meetings allow our clients the ability to engage with each other from around the world. Beyond simply booking your meeting through the Zoom platform, Virtual Meetings allow the option of a Tech Specialist to manage key features of your event such as: recording, setting up breakout rooms, and managing your waiting area.

Norris Virtual Meetings are a great compliment or supplement for any type of traditional meeting. Team/Department meetings, planning meetings, even small workshops that call for direct engagement and collaboration can all be run successfully through Norris Virtual Meetings.

Virtual Presentation

Supported through Zoom Webinar

Norris Virtual Presentations allow presenters to engage with a larger audience than our Virtual Meetings. Through Virtual Presentations, our clients can have a select group of presenters navigate through slides, hold panel discussions, perform etc. Our Tech Specialist are always in the virtual space to maintain the security and integrity of their event. Calls can be recorded for the client as well.

Virtual Presentations are an ideal way to host any event that calls for controlled engagement such as lectures, webinars, performances, even virtual keynotes.

Virtual Conference & Expo

Supported through HopIn

Norris Virtual Conferences & Expos is a unique platform that allows the client to host a full conference experience from their computer. The software allows guest to navigate through distinctive areas of the conference such as a Stage, Sessions, and Expo. There’s even a Networking feature that allows attendees to hold impromptu chats with one another. Virtual Conferences & Expos also allow each session video and chat to be recorded into separate files for later viewing. Each event is supported by both a Tech Specialist and Production Assistant to ensure the most seamless experience possible for the client and guest.

Virtual Conferences & Expos are an ideal solution for virtual or hybrid large audience events. V-Expos can be used to support conferences, admission/orientation events, large team trainings, Vendor/Org fairs, Poster Sessions, and more.

For interactive meetings and smaller events using Zoom Meetings, consider hiring a Technical Specialist from Norris Technical Services.

For larger events and webinars, Norris has purchased a license for Zoom Webinar, to host events up to 3000 participants.  In addition to many of the features available in Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinar offers the following capabilities:

  • Guest Pre-Registration
  • Customized registration page, with logo
  • Automated Reminder Emails
  • Automated Post-Event Emails
  • Embed a survey when an event ends
  • Q&A, with answers live or via text. Participants can vote up questions if enabled.

Additionally, Norris Event Management can provide the following services:

  • Event consultation, walk through of setup and schedule of event
  • Pre-event walk through with panelists, prior to event start or scheduled rehearsal
  • Hosting pre-event static slide or rotating slideshow
  • Pre-event background music
  • Help moderation of Q&A, whether live or via chat
  • Moderation of polls
  • Muting microphones when necessary, to avoid background noise
  • Recordings, delivered after the event
  • Event report analytics, delivered after the event
  • 1 to 1 attendee support, via individual chat
