In this fun, one lesson class you will learn how to make a simple cup, and then add facial features to give the cup a sculptural character. Traditionally, this kind of vessel was called a “Toby Cup,” meant to honor, remember or even criticize someone. Come with a face in mind or let the face on the cup develop in real-time!

So you’ve made a pinch pot. Now it’s time to review the basics while learning more advanced skills. You will learn how to make a perfect coil, different decorative techniques while addressing your pot’s functional use. This class will focus on making medium to large pots.

Intermediate Sculpture

This is the class to learn a multiple varieties of sculptural techniques, then use the technique that serves you best. The class will have an emphasis on using surface techniques to add texture and life to your pieces. You will also have the opportunity to glaze your own work using engobes, a colored glaze that can be applied on your leather hard clay before firing.

Basic Sewing Crafts - Make a Drawstring Bag

Learn how to sew a drawstring bag using a sewing machine. Your finished project is perfect to
tote a variety of supplies in, makes a great gift, and can even stand in for gift wrap! This class is
designed for beginners, but all skill levels are welcome.

Knitting Basics

In this course, you will learn the knitting basics: how to cast on (begin a project) and bind off (finish a project), perform the basic knit and purl stitches, read a pattern, increase and decrease to shape a project, change colors, and more design elements. Students will be encouraged to make a pot holder.

The Basics of Video Editing

This class is ideal for beginner level video editing. Participants will be introduced to Premiere Pro Creative Cloud. We'll discover the basics of how to navigate Premiere Pro, and how to ingest and edit video and audio.
