Baking Fundamentals

This fun and interactive series will introduce you to fundamental baking concepts, skills and techniques that will boost your baking confidence. The workshop is "hands-on" and everyone will take part in practicing techniques and preparing recipes. Students will work in teams, so you will benefit from everyone's experience and shared passion for baking. Whether you are completely new to baking or are more experienced and looking for some new tips an tricks, you'll learn skills that will nurture your creativity and provide a lifetime of joy. No prior baking experience necessary. Come prepared to learn, laugh, have fun... and maybe get a little messy.

Cake Decorating 101

This course is perfect for the aspiring cake decorator looking to learn the basics of this fun and creative craft. In this beginner's course, you will be introduced to various frosting types as well as how to crumb coat a cake and how to frost a smooth cake with buttercream. You will learn how to prepare and fill a pastry bag and how to use a pastry bag, assorted icing tipes, and buttercream to pipe basic flowers, borders, shells, and leaves. Each class will include demonstrations and plenty of practice time. Throughout the course, the instructor will demonstrate various tools that can make cake decorating easier and even more fun.

Mixology

Hosting a cocktail party? Just trying to expand from the usual rum and coke? Mixology masters will teach you recipes and demonstrate the drink-mixing techniques you need to improve your creations. 

Wine Appreciation

In this five week class you will develop a working knowledge of six wines per class. Learn about wine tasting, grape variety, vintages, wine storage, and wine/food complements throughout the course.

Wine O'Clock

A follow-up to the Wine Appreciation class, this course will introduce students to newer and rarer labels. Learn about wine tasting, grape variety, vintages, wine storage, and wine/food complements throughout the course.
