Trans Student Affinity Space

The Trans affinity space is co-hosted by Multicultural Student Affairs and Trans and Non-Binary students. This space centers and celebrates the lived experiences of the Trans, Enby, Non-Binary, Genderqueer, and Gender Non-Confirming and Agender communities.

Multicultural Student Affairs will be hosting a webinar for students providing information about LGBTQIA+ affirming resources and engagement opportunities at NU, including programs, housing policies, name change policies, healthcare overview, and more. 

 

Rainbow Bonfire

A Northwestern tradition for all incoming, returning, and transfer LGBTQIA+ students to gather and get to know one another around a bonfire on the Lake fill. This affinity space is co-hosted by Multicultural Student Affairs and Rainbow Alliance. This space centers and celebrates the lived experiences of Lesbian, Gay, Bi+, Trans, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual Community.

CAPS & MSA Session for Families of LGBTQIA+ Students

Experienced staff from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) will discuss the experiences LGBTQIA+ students may face in their transition to Northwestern and present the resources available to support these students.

This session is available for families with students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Pansexual, Trans, Asexual, Intersex, Queer and Questioning. This session is also available for students of LGBTQIA+ parents or guardians.

Closed Captioning available.  Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin) translation provided.
